A relaunch that started producing enquiries, with quoting behind it
A Brisbane musician needed to replace a GoDaddy site that was not winning work, and a way to turn an enquiry into a quote and a deposit without email tennis.
The problem
Jess Martyn performs, teaches and takes corporate and wedding bookings as Blue Jay Music. The previous GoDaddy site was not producing work. Enquiries, when they arrived, still had to be turned into a quote and a payment by hand.
The approach
We rebuilt the public site as a clear front door: who she is, what she offers, how to enquire. Behind it we built Flight Deck, a custom CRM that takes a structured enquiry, produces a deterministic quote, sends a proposal, and collects a Stripe deposit. The marketing site and the CRM are separate systems. An enquiry is written to both, so a booking is not lost if one of them is down.
What we built
- A full rebuild of bluejaymusic.com.au, replacing the GoDaddy site
- Clear paths for corporate entertainment, weddings and piano lessons
- Flight Deck: enquiry to quote to proposal to Stripe payment, with an audit trail
- Pricing rules that suggest line items for Jess to approve. They do not set a price on their own
Outcome
Within a week of relaunch the site began ranking for searches such as corporate entertainment, wedding singer and piano lessons. Since then Jess has booked corporate gigs, weddings and new students from the website, the first time that channel has produced that work. Those results are hers, on this rebuild. They are not a ranking promise for the next project.
